ARTIFICIAL FOG SPREAD
WHOLE COUNTRYSIDE CAN BE HIDDEN TESTS WITH AIRPLANES (United P.A. —By Telegraph—Copyright J oUnited Service) Reed. 10 a.m. HAMBURG, Mon. Seven airplanes carried out tests with fog-producing apparatus yesterday. A solid wall of white cloud enveloped the airport. Motor-cars, which were approaching it stopped, as the drivers were unable to see two yards in front. After 12 minutes the apparatus was stopped, and the fog drifted to sea. It is considered possible to screen effectively the whole countryside or coastline.
