APPEAL COURT DECISION Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. Only seven cases so far have been set clown for the Appeal Court eessioa which began today and one of those was disposed of this morning.. The bench, which included the Chief Justice, the Hon. M. Myers and Justices Herd man, Adams, Macgregor and Ostler, made an order striking John Black Batchelor, a solicitor, formerly practising in Christchurch, off thf rolls. Mr. Free, for the New Zealand Lav Society, said this was not a case wher the discretion of the Court was needed. Batchelor had been convicted on a plea of guilty on two charges of theft involving £1,256 and had been sentenced to two years' reformative detention. The order was accordingly made, costs being 15 guineas.
