ENGLISH NOVELIST HURT
SIR GILBERT PARKER IN MOTOR SMASH WIFE ESCAPES (Australian mid N.Z Press Association) (United Service) SAN FRANCISCO, Saturday. Sir Gilbert Parker, a well-known British novelist, suffered a broken arm and numerous bruises today in a motoring accident. The ear, driven by the novelist's wife, was capsized several miles south of Monterey, California. Owing to Sir Gilbert’s advanced age and poor state of health anxietY is felt for him. His wife was not injured.
