SPRING FLOWER SHOW
FUNCTION AT TE KUITI LIST OF PRIZEWINNERS From Our Own Correspondent TE KUITI, Today. The sixteenth annual bulb and spring flower show and industrial exhibition, under the auspices of the Te Kuiti Methodist Church, was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday and Friday, when there were large attendances on both days. The show was officially opened on Thursday afternoon by Mr. T. Carrol], in the absence of the. Mayor, and Mr. E. George, of Huntly, acted as judge. There was a fine display of blooms in the daffodil section, which showed a marked improvement compared with last year's exhibits. In the children's classes the entries-were numerous and keen competition was shown in the recitation and singing contests. The former, on Thursday evening, was won by Phyllis Barr, with' Rupert Robinson second and'Raymond- Htvell third. The singing on; Friday night .attracted a large crowd, and Shirley Oolcloxteh and T.
