Shakespeare to be Filmed as Talkie

THE cast for the talkie version of Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew,” now in production, is as follows:—Katherine, Mary Pickford; Petruchie, Douglas Fairbanks; Bianca, Dorothy Jordan; Baptista, Edwin Maxwell; Hortensio, Geoffrey Wardell; Cremio, Joseph Cawthirne: Grumio, Clyde Cook. Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks have decided to appear in separate films in future. They plan to sail from New York for a brief sojourn in Europe after the completion of this latter picture. Miss Pickford’s next picture will be an all-talking version of a famous stage play, while Douglas Fairbanks’s next will be based upon a well-known novel, the rights to which he already owns.
