JEWELS STOLEN

THEFT AT REMUERA INTRUDER IN A HURRY A jeweller’s shop at 99 Remuera Road was broken into on Thursday night and £l6 worth of watches, trinkets and other valuables stolen. The shop is owned by Mr. James Leo Hendry, son of an ex-superintend-ent of police.

Most of the jewellery which was stolen had been taken there to be repaired and was gathered up from the workroom as though the intruder had been in a hurry.
