ORPHANS’ CLUB NIGHT “Ladies’ night” of the Northcoteand Birkenhead Orphans’ Club was held in tlm Palais Theatre last evening. B>r. W. J. Craven, president, presiding over a large audience. The official visitors present were:Bros. W. K. Francis, president, and B. Tv. Anderson, secretary, Papakura Orphans’ Club; Bro. D. Mowbray, past-president Takapuna Orphans Club; and Bro. \V. F. Boyle. American Consul. Auckland Savage Club. During an interval in the programme the president pre.sen.ed to Bro. J. W. Lethbridge a past-presi-dent’s badge. . , , , The programme was provided b\ the following: —Bros, fryer - Rais her. C. Hunter. H. Wood, Rex Yates, Dan Flood. Raymond Reeve. B. Hartman and W. Axford. Ingall's. Hawaiian Orchestra and the club’s orchestra played a series of sob ctions.
