ARBITRATOR REMOVED

DISPUTE IN HAWKE'S BAY Press Association NAPIER, Today. Mr. Justice MacGregor gave a reserved judgment in a case in the Supreme Court in which the Napier City Council appeared in support of a summons for the removal of Mr. J. J. Lancaster, electrical engineer, of Wellington, the Hawke’s Bay Power Board’s nominee as arbitrator in the question referred to arbitration in respect to the bulk supply agreement between the board and the council. His Honour held that since Lancaster had been in the employ of the Hawke's Bay Power Board he could not be expected to approach the matter without a slight though unintended bias in favour of his former employers, and accordingly ordered his removal.
