FIRST TALKIE PANTOMIME
Latest reports from Elstree state that the first “all-talkie" pantomime is now in production, starring Betty Bal- ' four, and will be completed in time* for showing at Christmas. This is the j first time a pantomime has been filmed ' and with Lite charming personality of ! the star, the picture should be a tre- j mendous success. The story is based on the old tale which has been modernised for the screen. It has a wonderful supporting cast, exquisite scenery, gorgeous dresses, magnificent settings and a beautiful bevy of British beauty choruses. Singing and dancinc. and; spectacular frivolity, it should be the • greatest Christmas attraction yet ] offered. “The Great Divide," famous stage ; play, is now being made into an ail- j dialogue picture at First National- j Vitaphone studios. Dorothy Mackaill,: who stars in this production is sup- ; ported by lan Keith, George Fawcett, J Myrna Loy and Lucien Littlefield.
