TALKIES FOR CAMBRIDGE
The managing-director of Amalgamated Theatres, Ltd., Dr. F. J. Rayner announces that Western Electric talking equipment lias been secured for the Cambridge Town Hall. The equipment is at present being installed and should be ready in about three weeks time. The best of the talking films will be secured, and citizens of Cambridge will be fortunate in being able to see and hear talkies on the first Western Electric plant to be installed in any country theatre in New Zealand. Marion Harris, famous Broadwav songbird, has been definitely selected to play the leading feminine role in Lord Byron of Broadway.’*
