DREADFUL VOYAGE
THREE CHINESE HIDDEN IN MOERAKI LIFEBOAT COOPED UP FOR FIVE DAYS Reed. 10 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. On the arrival of the Moeraki in Sydney from the Fijian Group, Customs officers found three Chinese in a lifeboat, where they had been cooped up for five days, with scanty rations. The Chinese were in a very emaciated condition after the 1,700-miie voyage. The filth of the boat and the stench were indescribable. They will be deported on the first available steamer.
