WEDDING OF INTEREST

MT. EDEN CEREMONY HOBBS—BROWN Miss Grace Brown, eldest daughter of Air. and Airs. Jack Brown, Raw ling Street, Mt. Eden, and formerly of Aiillerton. was married to Air. Earnest Hobbs, son of Mr. James and the late Airs. Hobbs, of Edendale Road, Alt. Eden, and late of Westport, at St. Barnabas’s Church, Alt. Eden, on Saturday evening. The Rev. M. Bamford performed the ceremony. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father. She was wearing a charming frock of ivory georgette worn over a slip of pale pink silk, the skirt being of uneven length. A veil of verypale pink embroidered net was held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of cyclamen, sweet peas and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Margaret Brown, sister of the bride, who wore a moonlight blue georgette frock, with a pointed lace skirt which Whs caught up at the side with a brilliant buckle. She also wore a blue hat and carried a bouquet to tone with her frock. The best man was Air. Shove, of Devonport. The reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents, Mrs. Brown receiving her guests in a black figured satin frock and a black hat, and was assisted by another daughter, Lily, who also wore a pretty blue georgette dress which was frilled and embroidered in pink and gold. She wore a hat to match. Miss Hobbs, the bridegroom's sister, looked very smart in a golden brown crepe de chine frock with accordeon pleated frillings and wore # a pretty hat to tone. Mrs. J. Hobbs was attired in a pretty gown of green floral crepe de chine. Among the guests was a great num - ber of the bride and bridegroom’s old West Coast friends.

TE KOPURU WEDDING CLARKE—NELSON The wedding took place quietly at the residence of the bride's aunt, Mrs. E. Searle, at Te Kopuru, on Wednesday. of Ethel Eileen, eldest daughter of Air. and Mrs. F. Xelson, of Redhill, to Robert George Clarke, of Ruawai, and formerly of Ireland. The Rev. R. A. Alacdonald officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of beige crepe de chine with hat to match. Air. W. Clarke, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. Mr. and Mrs. Clarke will make their future, home at Ruawai. MANGA WHARE/WEDDING TREGIDGA—CYPRIAN At Sacred Heart Church, Alangawhare. on Wednesday, Honora Kathleen, the youngest daughter of Air. and Airs. AI. Cyprian, of Avoca, was married to Cyril, the youngest son of Air. and Airs. A. Tregidga, of Largaviile. The Rev. Father Van Westeinde officiated.
