MRS. R. CRUICKSHANK HOSTESS AT JOLLY DANCE A delightful dance was given by Air. and Airs. R. B. Cruickshank at their residence, Owhanga, St. Heliers, on Friday, to entertain the friends of their daughter, Alary. The lounge and verandah were prettily decorated with bowls of spring flowers and gaily-decorated streamers, which made a bright setting for the dancers. Airs. Cruickshank received her guests wearing a smart gown of embossed georgette in midnight blue, and Aliss Alary Cruickshank, who assisted her mother, wore a charming frock of primrose taffeta and tulle. Among those present were: Aliss E. Wilcock,. who wore yellow satin beaute with uneven hemline of blue; Aliss D. Wright, black embroidered taffeta; Aliss U. Burnside, satin frock of alice blue. with, pink tulle; Aliss R. Hogan, beaded georgette in vieux rose shade; Aliss IT. Williams, eau de nil crepe de chine: Miss AI. Baskett, rose taffeta frock; Aliss E. Lincoln, black satin trimmed with gold lace; Aliss N. • Lameron. orange charmeuse; Aliss P. j uruickshank, yellow crepe de chine frock. Miss A. McArthur, who had on blue taffeta and lace; Aliss L. Gower, crepe : de ohme in lacquer red, with gold lace; Aliss J Mowbray-Finnis, frock of blue and silver taffeta; Aliss P. Litten, who wore rose taffeta; Aliss P. Wilcock. flame satin and georgette; Aliss P. Xeville, cyclamen shot taffeta frock; Miss L. Inghs. blue and silver lace; Aliss M. Johnson, black charmeuse frock, with ; green shawl.
