APPRECIATION
T HE Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle. in a communication to the president of the Auckland Trotting C J u f, expresses the appreciation ot the Government at the handsome success achieved in connection with the recent earthquake benefit fixture, which resulted in a profit of £5,061. The Minister adds that the result reflects the 9r fj» tes , t credit on all concerned with the arrangements, and tenders thanks to all officials, staff, and organisations which rendered tree service to the cause.
