As this arrangement clashed with the opening day of the Greymouth Trotting Club’* spring carnival, the Coast club raised an objection to the Dunedin organisation staging its soecial meeting on the day suggested. Th* Forbury Club, finding it impossible to get another suitable date and desirous of avoiding a clash with Greymouth, definitely decided last night to abandon the proposed fixture.
