It was decided to apportion the cost of legalising and fencing, estimated at £I.OOO. as follow:—Pukekohe East Hiding, £250: Mercer Riding. £250: Pukekohe West Riding. £120: Drury, Hunua. Karaka. Mauku. Waiuku, tVaipipi and Awhitu Ridings, a sum of £l3O to be equally divided amons them. The Tuakau Town Board is to be asked to contribute £250 in cash unconditionally. In the event of the board accepting the offer, the work is to be put in hand forthwith. The Public Works Department has offered to provide free labour for the formation by engaging unemployed.
