TRADE WITH ARGENTINA
BRITAIN ENTERS £8.000.000 AGREEMENT
THANKS OF GOVERNMENT British Official •’Wireless RUGBY, Saturday. Mr. Arthur Henderson, Foreign Secretary. has written to the Foreign Minister of Argentina conveying the most cordial thanks of the British Government for the very courteous reception and treatment with which Lord D’Abernon’s mission was mot In that country. He said the Government deeply appreciated the collaboration of the President and all concerned in the valuable work of promoting trade relations between Argentina and Britain, as exemplified by the provisional agreement of September 7.
The object of the provisional agreement is to arrange for the purchase by the Argentina Government in the next two years of British manufactures to a value of about it 8,000.000 for railways and public works. In return, Britain is to purchase through the trade Channels of Argentina food products of a similar value.
