NORTH SHORE ROWING CLUB
An exceptionally high standard of rowing in the 11 sets of trial fours held last season is recorded in the annual report of the North Shore Rowing Club. The- club was well represented at all the provincial regattas. The social committee again did great work for the club, and collected over £7O during the season. The membership showed a slight falliiig-ofi’, owing, probably, to the unfortunate position in which the club had been placed In not being able to procure new boats. The expenditure during the season had slightly exceeded the income, thus making the balance a little less than at this time last year. This was largely accounted for by the fact that the club was forced to spend a large amount on.repairs to boats and plant. There was, however, quite a sound margin on the credit side. The plant had been increased by two new practice boats. In addition, the club had placed an order for a new clinker racer, which would arrive at the end of November.
