Miss Jones welcomed the guests, among whom were several visitors from Samoa, who delighted the audience with “hula hula’’ dances, etc. Miss Kiri Eruini sang “Danny Boy” and “Waiata Poi.” During the evening Miss Jones gave a history of the social movement in which she was interested, and was warmly thanked for her address. Among those present were Dr. Ellison, of the Native Health Department, and Mr. James Rukutai, chairman of Te Akarana Maori Association, who spoke in appreciation of Miss Jones's fine work.
