GIFT AFTERNOON
MRS. AUSTEN PAVITT IS HOSTESS BRIDE-ELECT HONOURED A very pleasant afternoon was given for Miss Loris Spencer recently by Mrs. Austin Pavitt, of Papakura. Miss Spencer is to be married shortly, so the function took the form of a gift afternoon. Mrs. Page and Mrs. Walters were the winners in two amusing competitions. During the afternoon the bride-to-be, who is a member of the Papakura Ladies’ Golf Club, received many gifts. Among those present were Mrs. Agmen Smith, Mrs. Goddard, Mrs. Page, Mrs. Busing, Mrs. TJrquhart, Mrs. Walters, Mrs. Knight, Mrs. F. W. Rowley (Wellington), Mrs. Pavitt, Miss Spence (Wellington). Miss C. Wood. Miss J. Walker, Miss A. McLennan, Miss M. Walters, Miss B. Agmen Smith, Miss N. Mellsop. Miss L. Callaghan and Miss W. Wilkins.
