Oddfellows’ Dance

i FIRST ANNIVERSARY i CELEBRATED BY OTA- : HUHU LODGE NO. 147

SPLENDID PROGRAMME

The first anniversary of Otahuhu Lodge, No. 147, Oddfellows, was celebrated in the Orpheus Hall, Otahuhu, on Wednesday, September 11, when the lodge entertained 150 guests, including visitors from Papakura, Waiuku and city lodges. Items were given by the following artists: —Misses Webber, pianoforte duet; Miss P. Ellice, elocution; Miss Moss, solo; Bro. F. Craft, solo; Bro. J. Pollard, saxophone solo, all of which were greatly appreciated. The music for the dancing was supplied by Mr. B. Walker’s Bon Tons. Bro. F. Craft, in a short speech, welcomed the visitors, expressing the wish that they would have a very pleasant evening. Women members from Papakura were: —Sister Rollings, who chose floral crepe de chine; Sister Taylor, black georgette, tangerine shawl; Sister Johnstone, pink crepe de chine, lace trimmings; Sister Paton, green crepe de chine and lace; Sister Stewart, blue crepe de chine and lace; Sister Jephson, floral silk; Sister Fahey, blue crepe de chine. Among those present were:—Mrs. F. Craft, who wore black satin, with posy; Mrs. W. E. Watkins, apricot velvet, black scarf; Mrs. T. C. Cotterill, orchid georgette over pink taffeta; Mrs. R. L. Piper, rose figured crepe de chine; Mrs. L. Bay, lido blue ensemble: Mrs. R. Stevenson, figured bengaline; Mr's. D. G. Reid, daffodil delysia, lace to tone; Mrs. W. M. Camwell, black silk and crepe de chine; Mrs. J. L. Tunnell, green floral ninon; Mrs. J. P. Hardie, gold lame and taffeta; Mrs. G. S. Johnson, peach celanese satin, paisley shawl; Mrs. E. Pollard, fawn rayon, ochre lace; Mrs. W. Whittle, biscuit crepe de chine, silver trimmings; Mrs. J. Boyd, mauve georgette, green posy; Mrs. Webber, spotted rayon. Mrs. Cornelius, who was wearing biscuit rayon, oriental trimmings; Mrs. Burman, crocus mauve silk, silver trimmings; Mrs. Iladfield, henna jersey velour; Mrs. A. R. Evans, apricot crepe de chine; Mrs. Davies, fawn chenille, trimmed with crepe de chine; Mrs. N. Coop, figured georgette; Mrs. B. Taylor jade jersey velour, diamente trimmings; Mrs. Scheland, navy satin georgette and embroidery trimmings; Mrs. W. Richardson (Papakura), blue velvet, gold lace shawl; Miss R. Dryland (Papakura), blue georgette, and silver lace; Miss I. Thomson, pink crepe de chine, lame bodice; Miss F. McLeod (Whangarei), carnation taffeta and tulle; Miss M. Mourant, rose crepe de chine and gold trimmings.

Miss E. Guillard (Papakura), who chose creme, diamente lace; Miss M. E. Moss, black velvet and georgette; Miss M. Kinloch (Papakura), blue rayon; Miss E. Moss, blush rose crepe de chine, lace overskirt; Miss M. Whittle, pink georgette, lace overskirt, and posy; Miss L. Pointon, lido blue velvet and georgette, diamente finish; Miss E. Webber, blue silk with lace front; Miss N. Salmon, jade green satin; Miss A. Webb, grey crepe de chine diamente; Miss J. Webber, light blue silk; Miss P. Ellice, blue crepe de chine, with accordion-pleated skirt; Miss Kinloch (Papakura), who had on cerise crepe de chine; Miss J. Moffitt, mauve satin beaute; Miss L. Brewer, blue georgette, black crepe de chine; Miss G. Cornelius, cyclamen dress, with coffee lace; Miss P. Webber, pink silk; Miss A. Kirvell, cyclamen rayon, orchid spray; Miss L. Atkinson, navy blue satin, gold lace; Miss E. Cornelius, mauve crepe de chine, silver lace; Miss T. Adams, pink georgette and lace shawl to tone.
