EVIDENCE ON PETITION TO BE OPEN TO PRESS PARLIAMENT BLDGS., Wed. The proceedings of the M to Z Petitions Committee when taking evidence on the petition of Earle Vaile and 80 others, praying for reconsideration of the decision of the Government regarding the Rotorua-Taupo railway, will be open to the Press. The Prime Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, undertook recently to make provision for that course, and the committee’s recommendation to that effect was approved by the House today. The petition will be considered next Tuesday.
