SECTION OF ROUTE SOUTH From Our Oxen Coxrcspondcnt HAMILTON, Today. The Main Highways Board has agreed to the proposals of the Waikato County Council relating to the laying of a permanent surface on the Ohinewai-Ngaruawahia section of the Great South Road, according to advice received at a meeting of the council yesterday. The board has agreed to lend the council its share of the cost of the work for a period of 10 years. This is estimated at £7,150, on which the board will provide a subsidy of £3 for £l. Work will begin as soon as the money is available.
