Fascination of New Hobby ADVICE FOR AMATEURS By “HOMOVIE” A hobby ■which is gaining many enthusiasts is that of home movies" and in Auckland alone there are quite a number of people who possess their own apparatus for making moving pictures. The apparatus required is not expensive; in fact, quite a good outfit can be purchased for less than £25, and it is extremely easy to operate. In the past it was necessary to send films overseas to have them developed, but now they are developed in Auckland. A picture taken today is ready to be screened tomorrow. The fascination of taking moving pictures of one’s home life, the children or holiday scenes will appeal to many. With a view to encouraging and assisting those who have taken up this new hobby, or who intend doing so, The Sun will devote space each week on this page to home movies.
