Maxim Litvinoff’s recent statement in Moscow on the question of the resumption of Anglo-Russian relations is regarded in official quarters here as holding out a prospect that a way may shortly he found for resuming the conversations which were suspended on the departure from London of M. Dovgalevsky, who was deputed by the Soviet Government as its special envoy.to discuss this question. The matter is at present being considered by the British Government.
