HOUSE DESTROYED
BLAZE AT WHANGAREI (Special to THE SUN) WHANGAREI, Today. Fire yesterday destroyed a house at Tikipunga Hill, Whangarei, owned by Air. J. G. ITolmes and occupied by All*, and Airs. Andrewes. Two . mattresses and a few clothes alone were saved. Mrs. Andrewes was chopping kindling wood when she first saw the blaze. There was no water supply near at hand, and the -fire brigade Svas unable to save the building.
