THEFTS ADMITTED

FOR SENTENCE ON FOUR CHARGES

Pleading guilty to four charges of theft, Arthur John Roberts, a seaman, aged 26, was remanded at the Police Court this morning until Thursday for sentence. The charges against Roberts were of stealing an overcoat valued pt £6 and belonging to Charles Davey on August 31; a gold watch and chain, a pendant, a fountain pen and pencil and £2 12s Gd in money of a total value of £ls, the property of William Morrison, on September 2; £2 10s from Roger Henrv K. Kusabs on August 8 and. on the same date, £G 10s from Samuel Tonman Keen. Chief-Detective Hammond mentioned that there were further charges to be investigated.
