A PRESENTATION

A very pleasant ceremony took place on Friday afternoon at the office of John Burns and Company, when Mrs. W. Thode, who has resigned her position with the firm to take up business on her own account, was made the recipient of a gold wristlet watch and crystal-ware from the directors and employees. In making the presentation, Mr. Ferguson expressed the opinion that her absence was going to be a great loss to the firm, where she was held in the highest esteem by everyone with whom she came in contact. After the presentation Miss F. Rickard presented Mrs. Thode with a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers.
