NORTHCOTE RATEPAYERS

ANNUAL MEETING HELD The annual meeting of the Northcote Ratepayers and Residents’ Association was held last evening, Mr. E. C. Davey presiding. The annual report and balance sheet presented by the secretary, Mr. R. G. Fellowes, showed the finances of the association to be in a satisfactory condition. The sum of £7 10s is to be forwarded to the North Shore Expansion League for the carrying out of a publicity campaign to popularise the marine boroughs. The question of erecting bathingsheds on the beaches was referred to the executive to submit a scheme in co-operation with other local associations. It was agreed to support the School Committee in connection with the proposed dental clinic for the Northcote and Birkenhead Boroughs, and the combined districts of Birkdale, Glenfield and Albany. The election of officers was postponed.
