REVISED PRAYER BOOK

PARTLY SANCTIONED, THOUGH REJECTED BY COMMONS (United Service) LONDON. Thursday. The Archbishop of Canterbury. Dr. ,’osmo Lang, has informed the clergy jf his diocese that he is prepared to permit the use of some of the forms f orders of service contained in the revised Prayer Book of 1928, which Parliament rejected. The clergy must first satisfy themselves that such use will meet with the goodwill of the parish councils. Dr. Holford Knight, M.P.. says the bishops do not possess authority to sanction the changes. It is their busi- : ness to enforce the decision of Par- ] iiament.
