THREE AUCKLAND TEAMS SELECTED PLAYERS TO TOUR The following Rugby teams have been chosen to represent Auckland in next Saturday’s matches: Team for King Country and Taranaki:— Fullback.—Goodacre. Threequarters.—Stoupe, Bush, Falwasser. Five-eighths.—Cammick, Jamieson. Half.—Corner. Rover.—Soloman. Forwards.—Palmer, Fletcher, McWilliams, Wanoa, Anderson, Peacock, Satherley. Reserves.—W T eir, Bell, McGurie, Heywood. The team leaves Johnston’s Garage at 7.30 a.m. on Wednesday, playing at Te Kuiti that afternoon and travelling on to New Plymouth on Thursday morning. Forwards—Hadley, Finlayson, Batty, Knight, Knight, Righton, Colgan. Reserves—McLeod, McManus, Wales, Kahu, Souter. Team to meet for practice at 5.30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ponsonby shed. AUCKLAND v. HUNTLY Fullback—Fraser (Ponsonby). Threequarters—Abbott (Training College), Connolly (Training College), Donald (College Rifles). Five-eighths—Laurie (Training College), Allen (City). Half.—Kirk (College Rifles). Rover—Potter (Grammar Old Boys). Forwards—Hodge (Training College), B. Batty (Grammar Old Boys), Stacey (Training College), Webb (Training College), R. Schnauer (College Rifles), Fleet (Ponsonby), Holt (City). Reserves—Sorensen (City), Hammond, Liddle (Grafton), Olsen (Grammar Old Boys). Team to meet for practice at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ponsonby shed. The team will leave Post Office at 10.30 a.m. on Saturday. Players unable to make the trip are requested to advise the A.R.U. early. PLAYERS FOR THAMES The following Rugby players are requested to attend practice at the Ponsonby shed on Thursday night at 8 o’clock. A team will be selected to make the trip to Tnames on Saturday to meet the Thames junior representative team: Townshend, Todd, Campbell, Higgins (Newton), Skinner, Davis, Tetley, Newdick, ITook (Ponsonby), Gould, Hallowell, Mason (College Rifles), K. Mauhanga, B. Paul (P.W.D.), Limburne (Panmure), Bright, R. Kenworthy, Anderson, Biggs, Bainbridge (Penrose), Colvin. Sinton. Taylor (Waitemata), McCoy (Varsity). Players not available are requested to advise the Rugby Union without delay. Neither Wanoa nor McWilliams is available for the King Country-Tara-naki trip. A. Knight will fill the place of Wanoa as back. The team selected for Huntly comprises players from clubs not taking part in the Pollard Cup competitions.
