OPOTIKI ROD AND GUN CLUB
As a result of the Opotiki Acclimatisation Society amalgamating with the Rotorua Tourist Department, a meeting was held in Opotiki for the purpose of forming a rod and gun club, incorporating the existing Opotiki and Waioeka Gun Club.
It was unanimously decided to form the Opotiki Rod and Gun Club and the following officers were elected:—President, Mr. A. L. Arrowsmith; committee, Messrs. G. Bennett, M. Stevenson (2), Butler (2), Wilson Scott and E. Edwardson; secretary and treasurer, Mr. T. H. Perrson. The secretary .stated that the Tourist Department would b** liberating a large consignment of fry during the first week in September and it was decided that most of them be liberated in the Otara River.
