MISSING BATTERIES

THEFT CHARGE AT HAMILTON (Prom Our Oven Correspondent) HAMILTON. Today. In the Supreme Court today Harold Thomas Watson appeared on two charges nf stealing batteries valued at £7 and £ 4 respectively, the property of the Electric Construction Company. He was also charged that on May 3 with intent to defraud he made a false entry on a duplicate docket to show' a sale of a lamp valued at 2s 6d, whereas he sold a battery valued at £4 14s 6d. Mr. H. T. Gillies appeared for the Crown and Mr. A. L. Tompkins for prisoner- The evidence taken was on the lines of that in the lower court some weeks ago.
