AUCKLAND TEAM WINS Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. Tlie. annual tournament of the New Zealand Basketball Association was continued today. The weather was again favourable, and there was a good attendance. The morning games resulted:—Section 1: Auckland, 24, v. Manawatu, 5; Canterbury, 11, v. South Canterbury, 4; Otago, 20, v. Taranaki, 1. Section 2: Wellington, 20, v. Wairarapa. 3; Southland, 30, v. Marlborough, 2; Hawke’s Bay, 21, v. Ashburton, 11. The afternoon games resulted:—Section 1: Auckland, 11, v. Canterbury, 6; South Canterbury, 16, v. Taranaki, 4; Otago. 25, v. Manawatu, 2. Section 2: Hawke’s Bay, 14, v. Wairarapa. S; Ashburton, 14, v. Marlborough, 4; Wellington, 12, v. Southland, 6.
