COMPETITION CONTINUES The Auckland provincial primary schools’ Rugby competition for the Northern Roller Mills Shield was co^- 1 tinued at the Showgrounds this morning. Following are the results of the games played: Auckland City Central 41, Auckland North 0; Auckland City South 6, South Auckland 0. The South Auckland-Auckland City South game produced the best football of the morning. There was no score at all in the first three quarters, although territorially the South Auckland lads had the advantage of the game In the final stanza the Auckland boys scored two tries in succession, McKinven and Beaston being the responsible agents. In the other game Auckland City Central trounced Auckland North by 41 points to nil. As the score indicates, the game was little else than a continuous stream of tries. The victors were heavier all round than their opponents, who became demoralised as the score mounted against them. The big total was made up of tries by Fountain (5). Collister (3), Sheehan (2), McCombe (2). Edwards (1). Vercoe converted one try. Mr. D. W. Barry refereed the game. Thames Valley defeated Auckland North by 25 points to nil yesterday, and won the B section.
