£304 THEFT FROM SHOP

TWO YOUTHS IN POLICE COURT (From Our Own Correspondent) NEW PLYMOUTH, Today. Charged with breaking and entering the shop of C. G. Ward, Ltd., in New Plymouth, and stealing about £304 17s, two youth—William Claude White and Joseph Abraham Cleaver — were remanded in the New Plymouth Police Court yesterday until Friday. Cleaver’s counsel asked for bail, but his application was opposed by the police, who said there was certain property still to be recovered. At the time of the theft and until his arrest. Cleaver was employed by Ward’s, Ltd. White was employed by a general merchant in New Plymouth.
