FLOODS RECEDING

WAIRARAPA ROAD REPAIRED Press Association MASTERTON, Today. The main road between Featherston and Martinborough, where it was washed out in the recent floods, is now repaired and opened, for all traffic. The flood waters have receded at Pahautea and Pukio and vehicles are able to get in from the Pukio end, but lower down the valley there are still large areas under water and it will probably be some days yet before it gets away. No big losses ot stock are reported, as the settlers had ample warning.
