NEW FACTORY
ENGLISH CHOCOLATE FIRM'S PROPOSAL OPENING IN NEW ZEALAND L “The proposal to erect a New Zea- ! land factory for Cadburys and Frys, j Ltd., is maturing,” said Mr. V. ~C. j Smith, of the Hobart office, interviewed at the conclusion of-a holiday visit to the Dominion. “There are three important factors
that must receive consideration,” he explained. “First is climate, secondly transport, and thirdly adjacency of markets. These would have yreut weight in the choice of locality.” The firm, he said, had almost reached a decision that Wellington or somewhere south of Wellington provided the most suitable climatic conditions. “The establishment of a Cadbury and Fry factory here,” added Mr. Smith, “was the main object of my visit. It has been satisfactory up to a certain extent, but no definite decision has yet been made as to the locality in which to erect the factory. The many advantages, so many parts of New Zealand offer are being weighed carefully.”
