COASTAL MOVEMENTS—APANUI is announced to sail for Mercury Bay, Tairua and Whangamata at six o’clock tonight. AWAHOU arrived yesterday afternoon and berthed at King’s Wharf. At 5 p.m tomorrow she is to sail for Hicks Bay, Tokomaru Bay and Gisborne. .CLANSMAN is sailing for Russell, Opua, Whangaroa and MangonuL at four o’clock this afternoon. -CORONATION arrived at Awanui from Auckland last, night. CLAYMORE, due from Whangarei at 7.3 Q a.m. tomorrow, leaves on the return trip at 10.30 o’clock that night. HAUITI is sailing for Kerepeehi at 4 p.m. this day. KAIMANAWA is scheduled to load at Westport on Wednesday for Auckland, and should arrive here toward the end of this week. KANNA is fixed to load at Greymouth on Wednesday for New Plymouth and Auckland, and is expected here about Monday next. KAWATIRI, eh route from Bluff, is expected to clear Timaru tonight via Lyttleton for Auckland, where she is due about Saturday. KATOA shifts from the "Western Wharf tonighgt to the Prince’s Wharf, and at 5 p.m. tomorrow sails for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamaru and Timaru. KAPONGA, from Greymouth, left Westport at noon last Saturday, via Napier and Gisborne, for Auckland. She is due here toward the end of the week. MARGARET W. t now at King’s Wharf, is to be dispatched for Gisborne direct at noon tomorrow. PONO is scheduled to sail for WhaTianaki, Tutu-kaka, Whangatufu and Kerikeri at three o’clock this afternoon. PUKEKO cleared Napier on Saturday .night for Auckland via East Coast bays and Portland. She is expected to arrive at Portland on Wednesday and should reach Auckland on Thursday morning. She is announced to sail from here for East Coast bays, Napier and Wairoa on Thursday evening. RANGITOTO sails for Coromandel at six o’clock tonight. -RONAKI, arriving from Tauranga at seven o’clock tomorrow morning, is to ■leave for that port again at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. SCOT is sailing for Waipu at 3 p.m. today. TIROA arrived back from the East Coast yesterday afternoon and berthed at King’s Wharf. At noon tomorrow she is to be dispatched for Hicks, Tolaga and Tokomaru Bays. TUHOE is to be dispatched for Whakatane at four o’clock this afternoon. WAIMEA, which arrived at Auckland yesterday, and berthed at the Queen’s Wharf, sails at 4 p.m. tomorrow on her return trip to-Gisborne and Napier. WAIPIATA, en route from Bluff, Dunedin and Timaru, leaves Lyttelton at five o’clock this afternoon for Wellington and Auckland. She is due here on Thursday. WINGATUI, which arrived at Dunedin yesterday, sails at noon tomorrow, via Lyttelton and Wellington, for Auckland.
TOFU A RETURNING. —Advice received by the local office of the Union Company states that the Island passenger steamer Tofua left Apia, Samoa, at noon on Saturday for Suva and Auckland. She is to clear the Fijian port on Thursday and is due here next Monday. WAiPAHI IN PORT.—The Union Company's Island fruit steamer Waipahi returned to Auckland on Saturday afternoon from the Cook Islands, and berthed at the King’s Wharf. She is expected to sail again at noon on Wednesday on her return trip to Rarotonga, Aitutaki, Atiu and Mauke. CARGO FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA.— The Union Company advises that the Kaitangata, from Edithburgh and Adelaide, is to leave Melbourne today for Hobart to complete loading for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland.
TREGO NN EL DUE.—Although no radio has been received by Henderson and Macfarlane, . the Plain, steamer Tregonnel is expected to arrive at Auckland tomorrow from Nauru Island. The vessel, which is bringing a cargo of phosphates for discharge here, will berth at the King’s Wharf.
PORT GISBORNE SAILING.—Now filling up at the Central Wharf under the agency of the Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Company, the C. and D. Line’s motor-ship Port Gisborne is scheduled to leaVe Auckland at daylight tomorrow for New York, Boston and London, via Panama.
GOLDEN CROSS REPORTS—According to a radio message received by Henderson and Macfarlane. the O. and O. Line’s steamer Golden Cross is expected to arrive at Auckland tomorrow evening from Los Angeles. Besides cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton the vessel has 615 bags of mail for New Zealand.
CUMBERLAND DUE TOMORROW. Although weather conditions are bad ut Gisborne, it is expected that the Federal steamer Cumberland will leave there this evening for Auckland, where she is -due tomorrow to complete her loading under the agency of the* New Zealand Shipping Company. She will berth at the Queen’s Whan, and next Saturday will be dispatched for London and West Coast ports of England via Panama.
KARAMEA DUE TONIGHT.—Due from London at midnight tonight, the Shaw t =,av * I .y an d .Albion liner Karamea will berth at -Prince's Wharf tomorrow mornlng to unload general merchandise for Auckland to the agency of L. D. Nathan a * l d Company, Limited. The remainder of the cargo Is for Wellington and Napier On completion of her discharge, the vessel commences loading at Napier, and later fills up at Timaru, thence Port Chalmers, New Plymouth, Wanganui Wellington and Auckland. She is due back here on October 2 and is scheduled to sail finally from this port on October 5 for London and West Coast ports of England via Panama.
