CANADIAN TRANSPORTER BREAKS PROPELLER BLADES REPAIRING AT CALLAO The vessel Canadian Transporter has been passed at sea making for Callao, Peru, with two of her propeller blades broken oc. She left Auckland for Montreal on July 9. Reports from the Canadian Constructor, which arrived this morning from Moutreal, state that they passed the Canadian Transporter in the Pacific Ocean on about August 5, six days after clearing the Panama Canal, when the latter vessel informed them that two of her propeller blades had broken oc and she was putting in to Callao, Peru, there to dry-dock and fit the spare propeller she carries. It is thought that the Canadian Transporter may have loosened her propeller blades when she was negotiating ice infested waters off the coast of Nova Scotia some time ago.
