KEEN* business is being registered on ’Change and numerous transactions are being recorded, especially in the bank section. Insurance shares continue to attract many investors and shares remain steady.

Business at this morning s early call: -—On ’Change: Bank of New South "Wales. £52. Reported: Xorth Auckland Farmers* Co-operative (ord.), 3s «d. Business at today’s midday call: Or? ’Change: Waihi Goldmining Company. 12s 2d. Reported: Bank of Xew Wales, £52: Taupiri Coal (ord.), £1 9s lOd: Xew Zealand Breweries ♦ deb.), £1 Ss 3d. * * * The coal section is firm and occasional sales are being transacted. Flikurangi, all issues, have keen buyers. with no shares offered. Pulcerniros are less active at present. Renown preference continue to sell freely at 3s Id, while Taupiris remain firm. * * * Gas scrip is firm and numerous buyers are appearing. Auckland paid hare keen buyers at 24s Id. sellers asking 24s 3d, the con. shares have per-
sistent buyers at 17s Sd. Gisborne are in. demand at 13s 3d, with shares scarce. * * * In the miscellaneous group. Australian Glass have quietly firmed to buyers at 555. Bycrofts are steady. Electrolytic Zinc, both issues, are exceptionally firm. Grey and Menzies are asked for at 11s 3d, only occasional sellers appearing.
