Reception for the Sunshine Association
Mrs. Harold Court is Hostess at Her Home SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION Mrs. Harold Court held a reception at Her residence, Remuera Road, yesterday afternoon for the Community Sunshine Association. The drawing room and lounge were charmingly decorated with a wealth of spring flowers from her own garden. The guests spent a most enjoyable afternoon, and two novel competitions were won by Mrs. Restall and Mrs. Beckerleg. Mrs. Court, who was assisted by her sister. Miss Hillyer, and Mrs. Ferner, president, in receiving her guests, wore a beautiful hand-embroidered oyster georgette frock and coral necklace. Miss Hillyer wore black and shell pink georgette. Mrs. Ferner was wearing a blue and champagne costume, and hat to mate'll. Among those present were;—Mrs. Pratt, who wore a fawn costume and stole; Mrs. Miller, in a navy suit; Mrs. Rainger, who chose oriental satin; Mrs. Restall, in champagne georgette; Mrs. Neumigen, black panne velvet; Miss Blomtieid, black sealskin coat over a black charmeuse gown; Mrs. Dodd, in navy georgette; Mrs. Cooper, who wore crimson satin; Mrs. Moore, in a black costume; Mrs. Jackson, wearing a navy suit; Mrs. Gaudin, whose black crepe de chine gown was relieved with scarlet. Mrs. Stretton, who had on a french blue suit; Mrs. Beckerleg, in navy and white; Mrs. Eady, wearing black georgette, with jade green relief; Mrs. Bodin, who wore a fur coat over a blue frock; Mrs. Angove, in wedgwood and fawn; Mrs. Millikin, who wore blue embossed georgette: Mrs. Kerr, who had on vieux rose jer§ey velour; Miss Lavers, wearing a tweed costume; Miss Bowen, in a smart brown costume, and hat to match; Mrs. Winter, in blue crepe de chine; Miss Davies, in a navy ensemble; Mrs. Taylor, who chose brown figured ring A'elvet; Mrs. Zahara, in figured crepe de chine, with gold hat; Mrs. Eaton, wearing a navy jersey cloth suit; Mrs. Holloway, in a tweed costume; Mrs. Williamson, who wore a black and champagne ensemble; Mrs. Axford, wearing a smart cocoa brown costume.
