A SURPRISE PARTY
A number of her friends visited Mrs. H. Mandeno on Thursday afternoon with a surprise party. Very quickly the large drawing room was arranged for bridge, Mrs. Mandeno receiving the prize for the highest score.
Later Mrs. C. Storey, on behalf of her friends, asked Airs. Mandeno to accept a bridge table. Those present were: Mrs. C. Storey, Mrs. R. Dawson, Mrs. A. H. Storey, Mrs. R. Lord, Mrs. J. Layne, Mrs. A. J. McGovern, Mrs. Ashmore, Mrs. K. Rickett, Mrs. A. Storey, Mrs. A. A. Reese, Mrs. ‘G. Hall, Mrs. F. Quinn, Airs. D. Chamberlain, Airs. J. Ha-ykins, Airs. L. Peck. Airs. Hope, Airs. F. Brooks, Airs. J. Oliphant.
