The crash of the guillotine and the groans of the mob are faithful depicted in a very realistic passage which is followed by a short tuner, dirge and a triumphal march, inja eating the joy at the death of ti> tyrant and the end of the Reign of Terror.
Selections from “Tannhauser,” “Tarantelle de Concert,” and a selection from German’s popular opera "Merr England” were all well received hr an appreciative audience. In “Th. Wind in the Trees.” the flautist. Mr. McLennan, was heard in some exe?’. ient work.
Miss Ida Holmes and Mr. Fred Baker contributed several very piecing solos, extra numbers having to b» given. Miss Thelma Gordon was the accompanist.
