£2,000 ADDITION
COMMUNITY SUNSHINE SCHEME ANOTHER BUILDING PLANNED An additional building under the Community Sunshine Association’s scheme is contemplated. Mrs. N. E. Ferner, prominent in the work of the association, said today that an. extra building now in view would cost, under the estimation of the architect, about £ 2,000. A large contribution would be made by the Auckland Savings Bank. The association also plans to hold a street collection within a. month to further the objects of the scheme. The additional building would include open-air classrooms, a medical examination room and a rest room.
Satisfaction is felt by the association at the remission granted by the Government of the difference of £I,OOO between the £4,000 the association has for its sunshine school and the reserve of £5,000 placed on the old Nelson Street School property.
