TWELVE TO BE ERECTED IN CITY AND SUBURBS
INCREASING SINGLE BOXES Twelve more slot telephones are to be erected by the Post and Telegraph Department throughout the city and suburbs. In some instances, double boxes will replace the present single ones. Slot telephones in Auckland are becoming increasingly popular, and several of the business areas in the suburbs now require double the number. The telephones are to be erected at the following places: Dominion Road, near the intersection of Marsden Avenue (double box). Near Dominion Road Post Office (single). Corner of Dominion and Mount Albert Roads (single).
Corner Market and Great South Roads (single). Mount Albert tram terminus (double). Edendale tram terminus (double). Milford, near bus stop (double). Royal Oak (double). Corner Mount Albert and Vincent Roads (single).
Corner Victoria Street and Mount Smart Road, Onehunga (single). Top of Symodds Street (double). This box will be moved to the other side of the street.
