TAURANGA NEWS

The Bay of Plenty Hunt Club has decided to invite the Waikato Hunt to have three days’ hunting at Tauranga on September 13, 16 and 18. The meets will be at Gate Pa and Otumoetai. An interesting programme is to be arranged one afternoon for an outing on the racecourse domain. The new president of the club is Mr. R. Purcell. The Tauranga Co-operative Building Society held a special meeting for disposing of two appropriations of £ 500 each, one by ballot and one by sale. The chairman of directors stated that the society had had 26 appropriations totalling £11,700. Mrs. M. McPherson was the winner of the ballot and Mr. G.
