The farming community of Te Puke met at the Te Puke Hotel on Tuesday evening to make a presentation to Mr. A. F. Budd. who has been in charge of the local branch of the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company for the past nine years, and who has been transferred to Hamilton. Mr. Luke in a brief speech asked Mr. Budd to accept a smoker’s outfit and fountain pen as a token of the esteem in which he was held by the farming people. Mr. Budd suitably replied. Mr. J.
