TE PUKE PRESENTATIONS
The farming community of Te Puke met at the Te Puke Hotel on Tuesday evening to make a presentation to Mr. A. F. Budd. who has been in charge of the local branch of the Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company for the past nine years, and who has been transferred to Hamilton. Mr. Luke in a brief speech asked Mr. Budd to accept a smoker’s outfit and fountain pen as a token of the esteem in which he was held by the farming people. Mr. Budd suitably replied. Mr. J. Brown, on behalf of the members of the staff of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency, Ltd., presented Mr. F. Chapman, who has been transferred to Opotiki, with a handsome travelling rug. Mr. Chapman briefly responded.
