CONTRACTOR FINED £lo
IGNORED SCAFFOLDING INSPECTOR “RIGHT OVER THE FENCE” Failing to comply with the direction of a scaffolding inspector, S. L. Wallath was fined £lO and costs at the Police Court this morning. Wallath, who had previously been fined £5 for a similar offence, objected strongly to the amount of the fine. “It is right over the fence,” he said. Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., pointed out that the inspector had duties on which depended the safety of human life. Contractors must be prepared to follow his instructions.
