Splendid Fields to Line Up at Riccarton
GRAND NATIONAL FINALS PROSPECTS FOR TOMORROW The Grand National meeting will be brought to a conclusion at Riccarton tomorrow. Fine fields should provide a fitting finale to a fixture that has proved remarkably successful to date, and the contests tomorrow hold out every promise of furnishing spirited struggles both on the fiat and over the obstacles. Of the horses engaged tomorrow, “Early Bird” suggests that there will be heavy support forthcoming for the following: Longbeacli Handicap.—Taranto and Lucky Bag. Aylesbury Steeplechase. Birkbeck and Kaikahu. Sydenham Hurdles. — Mangani and Lancer. Styx Hack Hurdles. —Fine Acre and Amorist. Lincoln Steeplechase.-—King’s Guard and Matu. Heathcote Handicap.—Black Duke and Otairi. Redcliffs Handicap. Honeycombe and Hounslow. Selwyn Handicap.—Kaiti and Gold Cure. The starting times have not been sent, but they will probably be the same as on Ttiesday and Thur/ay.
